I started practicing yoga in 1999, shortly after my first son
was born. I realized instinctively that the only way I could be the
steward of another soul was to first be connected to my own.
At some point every child will be able to see clearly and directly
into the heart of his parents, and I wanted to make sure that
when Lucas looked into mine, what he saw was clean. Flawed of course, but clean. This began a lifelong Spiritual Journey, and remains the reason I am still so dedicated to my practice, so many years (and one more son) later.
An E-RYT500 and YACEP, I received my 200 hour certification through The Open Center in 2001 and my Advanced 300 certification from Yogamaya in 2011, both in New York. From the beginning, my unique method of imparting the philosophy of Yoga, while integrating an amalgam of other esoteric, spiritual and metaphysical concepts has been the foundation of my teaching. A longtime Vedic Meditation practitioner, over 14 years ago I began to offer meditation classes as a complement to the physical Yoga practice.
Over the years my teaching modalities have expanded and I now offer workshops in Meditation, Yoga and Spirituality here and in Italy, and participate upon request in Yoga teacher Training programs. Asked to create ceremonies based on my dharmic interpretations, in 2013 I became a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant and officiate Weddings and other personal Ceremonies. Most recently, I was honored to be an Adjunct Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, teaching Yoga and Yoga Philosophy.
